My final project proposal consists of creating a literary magazine that will involve my own writing and a few "vignettes" describing urban life in the same vein as The New Age. The journal will also include book and movie reviews, political commentary, letters to the editor and some very rudimentary artwork. I'm also creating a few comical filler "ads" that will mimic some of the advertisements for services and products we perused in The New Age.

The content in my journal will be entirely my own, but I will use various pseudonyms where appropriate.  I have already composed 3-4 pages of content thus far, but I welcome any ideas, advice, etc. on how to make my little 'zine more bold and colorful.

I would like the total piece to be about 16 pages in length, and to follow the design of The Owl in its simplicity and appearance. The title of the magazine will probably be The Violet, The Vine after a poem by E. A. Poe. It also happens to be the name of my poetry blog on Wordpress,
