World War One

I will be writing a research paper that examines how WWI affected the nature of the literature found in the modernist periodicals. The question I am asking is: What was the influence of WWI on the fiction and non-fiction writing? I will be looking primarily at The New Age and The Owl  in formulating my analysis and I may also compare/contrast the treatment of the war in the periodicals with the treatment of the war in other modernist literature, particularly that of Viriginia Woolf. Hopefully I can find some journal articles to assist me in my research.

Julie, I actually had a similar topic to yours before I decided on my present topic. I know you will find lots of information because I had tried searching for information on "Wars and their effect on the avant-garde" and I got some names of articles. I can share those with you and I hope they will be of help.
