In his early childhood, Eli was locked in a dungeon and forcefed a daily diet of Shakespeare & porridge. This experience doomed him to become an English major. In his teens, he read his way out to freedom and now embraces a more eclectic reading list...and a more appetizing breakfast.
He went on to complete an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University & is currently halfway through his stint as a Teaching Fellow--aka city slave. Food & reading continue to be the main themes in his life. He believes all the world's problems can be solved with an apple and a good book.
