Miriam L. Wallach

Miriam is a graduate student in the Master's in English program at Brooklyn College with an expected graduation date of September 2008.  This will complete Miriam's second graduate degree having already received her M.S.ed in Early Adolescent Education from the Bank Street School of Eductaion in 1998.   The youngest in a dysfunctional family of overeachievers, she currently teaches Language Arts in a Middle School on Long Island where she has taught for the past seven years.  She was also included in the Who's Who in America's Teachers from 2003-2006.

Miriam is also a weekly contributor and columnist for The Jewish Star, a local newspaper in Nassau and Suffolk counties with a readership exceeding 50,000 subscribers.  She lives on Long Island with her husband and five children, ranging in ages from 9-2.  Clearly, Miriam doesn't sleep that much.

Whether it is attending little league games in which her girls play or going with her family to see the Cyclones, baseball is certainly a big part of Miriam's summer.   A lover of baseball and anything Yankeees, Miriam spends her free time watching games, exercising at the gym, listening to music and cooking.   She enjoys baking and cooking with her children, taking as many pictures of them covered in food as possible, and is eagerly awaiting the announcement of Jed Bartlett's intention to run for President of the United States.
