I graduated from School of Visual Arts with my BA in Advertising and Graphic Design. After a few years as an Art Director for MVBMS, I decided to get my Master’s in Childhood Education at Brooklyn College, which I am currently enrolled in.

My philosophy as a teacher is to facilitate the academic, social and individual growth of students at an elementary level, where students will be allowed to experience success without the fear of failure.

Through “Balanced Literacy”, one can foster a firm commitment to educational excellence where the students' successes and failures can be celebrated and their voices be heard across the curriculum.

We must model sound leadership qualities. It is our job to utilize and integrate different teaching techniques to meet the needs of visual, kinesthetic, linguistic and auditory learners for all subject areas. We must also develop engaging, grade appropriate, hands-on lesson plans with clear objectives that meet a variety of students’ needs and abilities, as well as incorporate technology- based activities to increase students’ comprehension and language arts skills.

All of the above should be done while implementing and maintaining positive classroom management strategies such as positive reinforcement, praise, and verbal cues which establishes confidence and discipline in students.
It is my hope that each and every child can realize his or her potential.
