For our part of ''The Waste Land'' wiki, we each took a different aspect of the poem. Jerusha looked at INSERT PROJECT HERE, Justin looked at the Fiona Shaw project found on The Waste Land App, Miranda looked at INSERT PROJECT HERE, Megan looked at the cover art of different versions of the poem, and Brooke looked exclusively at the ''The Waste Land'' app. Since there was already a multimedia page, we integrated our parts into the work previously done by the students before us. Most of us simply added another heading and worked under that section. Each of our processes started with searching for media that related to our corresponding topics. Justin and Jerusha both spent time looking for video clips to add to the page. Justin discovered that it is an entirely different process analyzing a video as opposed to analyzing a text. There are so many more aspects of a performance to discuss (camera angles, lighting, set design, performance, etc.). Miranda INSERT WHAT YOU DID HERE. Megan spent time looking for eye-catchin covers of the poem. Brooke's time was mainly spent researching the app INSERT REST HERE. Through these searches, we learned that The Waste Land come to life through different media, and it gives the poem a new perspective, instead of just reading it in black-and-white. It also showed us that there are a lot of different interpretations of this poem, I'LL FINISH LATER!!! Y'all can change whatever you want on here!!! I just wanted to go ahead and get something down that would look like a cohesive group report. -Megan Grier * Describe your topic and the process by which you approached it. * What did you learn about The Waste Land and digital humanities during this project? * Describe any challenges or problems you faced, and how you overcame them (or not) * In what ways is this kind of work similar to and different from the "normal" work you do in humanities classes?
